One of the more controversial musicals ever to be staged, one that companies prolific in producing Stephen Sondheim works often avoid producing, is Assassins. Los Altos Stage Company opens its new season, bravely and unapologetically presenting Stephen Sondheim’s musical about presidential assassins in the midst of a presidential election year.
